This tour has been designed to make the whole day feel special, from the comfort of your seat and the stories shared by your local guide, to the quiet moments on the Milford Road and the boutique cruise through Piopiotahi/Milford Sound.

Sunrise departure with a friendly guide: Start at 6:30 AM, meet your guide and settle in. Enjoy morning refreshments and pause in Te Anau before heading into the mountains.
Fiordland’s magic landscapes: On the Milford Road you’ll marvel at towering peaks, winding rivers and the antics of the kea while your guide stops for photos and shares insider stories.
Boutique catamaran cruise: Glide through Piopiotahi on a small, stylish vessel with lounges, dining booths and open decks. Spot seals, penguins and dolphins, feel the spray of waterfalls at the bow and enjoy a two‑course plated lunch with the day’s freshest produce.
Relaxing return drive: Unwind on the way back with a locally made film and light snacks; the scenery outside changes from rainforest to rolling farmland as you head back to Queenstown.

It’s a full‑day experience. You leave Queenstown at 6:30 AM and return around 7:30 PM, with time for scenic stops, the cruise and a relaxed drive home.
If you leave Te Anau it’s 9.15am to 5pm

This particular journey is best suited to guests aged nine and older. Younger children cannot be accommodated for safety and comfort reasons.

The road journey is capped at 8 guests. The Fiordland Jewel cruise may have up to 32 guests on board.

Yes. On board the catamaran you’ll enjoy a two‑course plated lunch made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Complimentary tea and coffee are served, and a licensed bar is available for other beverages. We will request your diet requirements at the time of booking.

Dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes—Fiordland weather can change quickly. Bring a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, a camera for photos and any personal medication for motion sickness.

The tour operates in most conditions. In the rare event of severe weather that would make travel unsafe, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund. If you’ve booked the optional scenic flight, it may be weather‑dependent.

The catamaran is equipped with restrooms. On the road we make regular comfort stops and there’s also a restroom at the Te Anau break.
